Ernest & Iris

A life project

We are the owners, winegrowers, producers, oenologists, winemakers, salespeople and developers of celler La Llena.

Ernest has a lifetime of experience in mountain farming. He started making wine at the age of 10 with his grandfather, and his dream was always to build a winery.

Iris is a biochemist and biotechnologist, specializing in microbiology and oenology. The daughter of winegrowers, she always had in mind continuing the family legacy.

We were united by our passion for agriculture and wine, and we joined forces to create the winery, launching it on the market in 2022. Since then, we have worked, laughed, cried, evolved and consolidated the project that is our way of life.

Caring for nature, the territory and people

We use renewable energy produced by our own photovoltaic installation on the roof of the winery.

 

We practice certified organic viticulture and apply regenerative agriculture techniques.

 

We use paper labels to generate less waste and reuse glass bottles.

the Territory

Vilanova de Prades - Conca de Barberà

We are in Vilanova de Prades, a small mountain town inhabited by only 70 people, at the edge of the Conca de Barberà.

 

We actively contribute to avoiding rural exodus, maintaining the agricultural heritage and landscape and recovering the winemaking tradition of the territory.

 

We have a spectacular terroir of llicorella (slate stone) or lacurell, as we call it, which helps make our wines so special.

We make our wines in an artisanal way in our own winery in Vilanova de Prades.

A small space in constant evolution where we manage to make up to 7000 bottles of 10 different wines per year.
